Windermere Real Estate has always valued giving back to the community above all else. That’s why every time a Windermere agent helps someone buy or sell a home, a portion of their commission is donated to the Windermere Foundation. The Windermere Real Estate Company group of offices, here in Seattle, funds enhanced programs for children from low-income families in elementary, middle, and high schools, and is even looking to broaden those criteria.
Recently, the Windermere Foundation gave a grant worth $1,973 to McDonald International School to fund a variety of needs. The McDonald PTA organizes a school supply collection so that they can order in bulk and secure discounted pricing for low-income families. This money will go towards a reimbursement for school supplies for the 2014/2015 school year. It also helped fund a fifth grade class trip to Islandwood, as well as nutritious food packs for underprivileged children to take home during spring break.
Over the past 26 years, the Windermere Foundation has raised more than $28 million for services and programs that support low-income families.
