Windermere Foundation May Update

content_AMF_2261_resizeWindermere Real Estate has always valued giving back to the community above all else. That’s why every time a Windermere agent helps someone buy or sell a home, a portion of their commission is donated to the Windermere Foundation. The Windermere Real Estate Company group of offices, here in Seattle, funds enhanced programs for children from low-income families in elementary, middle, and high schools, and is even looking to broaden those criteria.

Recently, the Windermere Foundation in Seattle gave a grant worth $5,000 to Sacajawea School to fund a variety of camps. The Sacajawea PTA organizes and Islandwood environmental camp, theater production, Instrumental camp, etc.

Thanks to the generosity of donors like you, the Windermere Foundation was able to provide over $410,000 dollars in support during the first quarter of this year to organizations that help low-income and homeless families throughout the Western U.S.

Programs benefitting children and youth continue to receive a significant portion of Windermere Foundation funds. These funds are made possible by your ongoing support. Programs like Seattle Children’s Hospital’s Emergency Patient Assistance Fund, which provides food, clothes, transportation, and other essentials for more than 2,000 families a year during a difficult moment in their lives.

For all of their efforts, Windermere was recently recognized by the Puget Sound Business Journal as one of the area’s biggest givers on their annual Corporate Philanthropists list. Read more about it here.
