Last week, Windermere Real Estate welcomed Seattle economist Matthew Gardner. After closing his private firm of 17 years, he’ll become Windermere’s chief economist at the Sand Point Way headquarters to track and analyze residential real estate markets across 11 Western states full time.
Windermere CEO Geoff Wood noted Gardner has a knack for tackling a dry topic like economics and making it significant for consumers. He has previously provided Windermere Real Estate brokers and their clients quarterly market analysis reports as the company’s economic adviser. We’re looking forward to further breakdown on the local housing market from him as he joins the Windermere team.
Puget Sound Business Journal quoted him on his market analysis. “It’s not going to be that cookie-cutter approach that the National Association of Realtors says this or somebody else says that,” Gardner said. “You’ve got to come at it from an independent perspective.”
