Head out to the Olympic Peninsula and enjoy the views from the northwesternmost point in the continental United States: Cape Flattery. The “hike” is only 1.5 miles round trip –it’s really more of a stroll than a hike. This is where the Strait of Juan de Fuca meets the Pacific Ocean, and it is something you have to see with your own eyes. You may even be able to spot some seals and whales. If you’re from Seattle, this would be a bit too long for a day trip, so plan a weekend to visit this incredible nature sanctuary. You’ll thank us that you did.
