Monthly Windermere Foundation Update

Windermere Real Estate has always valued giving back to the community above all else. That’s why every time a Windermere agent helps someone buy or sell a home, a portion of their commission is donated to the Windermere Foundation. The Windermere Real Estate Company group of offices, here in Seattle, funds enhanced programs for children from low-income families in elementary, middle, and high schools.

Our recent grant recipients:

$5,000 to Green Lake Elementary for their Enrichment and Essentials Programs. The Enrichment Program is an after school program consisting of music classes, art classes, Math Olympiad, Garden Club, Tennis & Golf, Spanish, basketball, Lego engineering, etc . The Essentials Program helps fund lunches, holiday gift baskets, clothes, shoes, book fair books, field trips, Safeway cards, school pictures, etc.

$3,000 to KIM Seattle (Kids in Medicine and Science) – Shoreline School District. KIM provides scholarship funds to qualifying students. This program’s goal is to get students interested in science, medicine, and bio technology. There are a variety of ways they utilize this program in the schools, a couple of which are summer camps and an airdrop immersion program during class time.

$2,000 to Kenmore Elementary for Thanksgiving Baskets. This donation will go towards food for those that may not have enough to last for the extended holiday break when free/reduced breakfasts and lunches are not available. This amount will be able to feed 20 families in need.
