This month’s Premier networking breakfast saw more than 120 Puget Sound-area agents come together to hear the latest information on the waterfront real estate market. Brokers from as far away as Bellingham joined local brokers at Overlake Golf & Country Club to present their newest luxury listings and to discuss updates and trends of the waterfront market.
This month, we had a panel who shared waterfront statistics and trends in the Greater
Seattle area. Kelly Weisfield spoke about Mercer Island, Anna Riley about the Eastside, Margo Allan on Lake Sammamish, and Barbara Cahill on Seattle. Many of the statistics were gathered by Julie Barrows (Windermere Mercer Island) and can be found at the waterfrontreport.com. The Eastside waterfront market is strong with several homes entertaining multiple offers
before selling at or near their listed price. Mercer Island has seen moderate gains in their
waterfront market with a few notable sales above list price but otherwise a slow, steady and sustainable market. The waterfront market on Lake Sammamish saw 13 sales in a very active third quarter. The Seattle waterfront market in the third quarter posted 14 waterfront sales, with the highest private waterfront sale at $3.92 million in Laurelhurst. In addition to our knowledgeable panel, Alan Pope from Alan Pope & Associates gave insight on waterfront
appraisals and the trends we are seeing as a whole.
